Morning Yoga & Shopping
Today I went exploring at stumbled upon a cute little yoga studio and decided to take a class there and try it out. It was at the Chameleon New Age Hair Salon. I really enjoyed the class and the new space it had to offer. The yoga class was only 10 AUD which wasn't so bad for one class. Being able to do yoga and unwind after adjusting to a different time zone, being on a plane for 20+ hours, and unpacking really helped you unwind and become more at ease. It was a very relaxing experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Surfers Paradise. After yoga trying an açaí bowl for the first time, and running a few errands on the main strip I had to go to the mall and buy groceries because I couldn't keep eating out all the time. So, I got on the tram for the first time and went to the mall. K-Mart and Target are very different in Australia. The biggest difference is that they're very clean, don't have many options to choose from, and don't carry any food besides snacks and candy. After realizing I wasn't going to find what I was looking for I found a store called Coles and bought my groceries there. Food shopping in Australia is way different than shopping in the US. Everything is different, there are no name brands that you recognize, there aren't many options to choose from, and the overall price of everything is higher than you would normally expect it to be. If I were to miss anything from back home it would be the convenience having a familiar shopping experience.
