A Day in Burleigh Heads Beach

On Saturday, my roommate and I decided to take a day trip to Burleigh Heads before classes started. Burleigh Heads isn't too far from where we're staying, and it only took about 40 minutes to get there by tram and bus.

Burleigh Heads is one of the most beautiful places I've ever visited. The water is so clear that you can see all the way to the bottom, and from the main beach, you can even see the skyline of Surfers Paradise in the distance.

Once we arrived, we spent some time at the beach before taking the walking trail up to Cock Rock. Along the path, we came across a crystal-clear lagoon where we could see fish swimming beneath the surface. When we reached the top, the views were absolutely incredible and made the hike well worth it.

After heading back down, we went into town to grab some lunch. I stopped at Kiss the Berry and ordered an açaí bowl, which was delicious. After eating, we returned to the beach and spent some time climbing around the rocks in the cove.

As you continue walking along the rocks, you'll eventually come across a famous spot with a message that reads, "Stand here & think of someone you love." After taking pictures with the social media-famous rock, I spent some time exploring the tide pools and collecting seashells along the shoreline.

Overall, Burleigh Heads was a successful day trip and one of my favorite places I've visited so far in Australia. Between the stunning ocean views, beautiful walking trails, great food, and relaxing atmosphere, it's definitely a place I'll be returning to.
