Coolangatta
Yesterday, all of Marist KEI took a trip down to Coolangatta, QLD to Snapper Rocks and Froggy Beach. The trip took about an hour using the tram and the bus. It is unbelievably beautiful there and it's a perfect day trip. When we first got there we went to a rock pool by the ocean and hung out there for a while till a jellyfish got pushed in by a wave. Every other wave, if it was big enough you would get splashed by the wave smacking against the rock making you super soaked. After the rock pool we explored a little on a walk and then spent the rest of the day relaxing at the beach. Later that night we went to Burleigh Heads and got to watch a fire show and listen in on a drum circle. Earlier in the week I found a Glaucus Atlanticus also known as a blue dragon at the beach. Apparently they're a very poisonous sea slug that can give a powerful sting. Lesson of the day is don't pick up unfamiliar animals, especially in Australia.
